The Lady SEO of Romania (Made in Romania Part 3)

From time to time, if you read my blog constantly, you know that I encourage young Romanian netpreneurs to develop their own products.

This time is a little bit different. I found online a great article written by Adriana Iordan. It was a pleasant surprise for me to read his article called "Choosing Keywords Efficiently for SEO".

Just in case you don't know, Adriana is a Web Marketing Manager at Avangate BV, an eCommerce platform for Electronic Software Distribution Service which incorporate an easy to use and secure online payment system plus additional software marketing services and sales tools.

According to Adriana, "Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is paramount for businesses that choose to make themselves known via the Internet. Keyword research and, ultimately, keyword selection are extremely important parts of the overall SEO process".

And she continue:

"There are some basic rules (16) that you need to follow when choosing keywords in order to receive relevant traffic on your web site:

1) Don't use single words. Phrases are better than words.

2) Be relevant. Make sure that the description of your web site reflects what you have to offer.

3) Be a mind reader. Try to anticipate your prospective visitors' needs and meet them.

4) Be specific. Choose keywords with a narrower focus to face less competition.

5) Localize your keywords: make use of your geographical location, but avoid getting too specific. Also, be aware of the differences between words in different locations (e.g. elevator (US) - lift (UK), sweater (US) - jumper (UK). Perform your optimization process accordingly to get the best results.

Good job Adriana... I like your article, I like your style, I like your attitude. I expect to see more from you this year.
